I have also taught classes in dual diagnosis and Motivational Interviewing at Santa Barbara City College and wrote the dual diagnosis psychoeducation treatment plan for Recovery Road Medical Center.
I am honored to be a Certified PACT Couple Therapist (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) and a writer, speaker, and presenter on the topics of relationships, addiction, codependency, and how to be an informed consumer of therapy, helping audiences and guests alike to understand the complexities, wonders and strengths of the human condition. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and maintain a general private practice in Santa Barbara providing psychotherapy for couples, adults, adolescents and groups. I specialize in couple therapy and the treatment of co-dependency, addiction, dual diagnosis, anxiety, depression, and relationships.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Santa Barbara. During my formal education, I completed a two-year internship at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation treatment center, running group therapy, individual and family therapy, and education groups for residents and family members.
